Our 32,000 square foot Buffalo headquarters houses a retail store, warehouse facility, customer service center and administrative operations. Other retail stores are conveniently located in the Buffalo suburb of Clarence, New York, and the Rochester suburb of Henrietta, New York. HYATT'S / A Brief History
After many years in the graphic art industry, Charles W. Hyatt founded our company in 1959. He started in a 200 square foot store at 499 Franklin Street in Buffalo's Allentown Arts District. In 1961, he moved two blocks to Main Street and a 2500 square foot store at our current address. Surviving a devastating four-alarm fire in 1965, increased business encouraged him to stay, knock down walls and double our size. In 1981, we purchased the entire building. This location, 910 Main Street, continues today as our 32,000 square foot headquarters for all three divisions. Since 1988, Charles' sons, Peter and Gregory Hyatt, have owned the company where they have been active since the early 1970's.

ART / Art Supplies and Picture Framing
Hyatt's was originally founded to serve the printing and graphic arts industry, hence our corporate name: Hyatt's Graphic Supply Co., Inc. Very quickly, our growth led us into art supplies for fine artists and designers in many fields. Ever since, this has remained a major focus of our company. In addition to our large art store at 910 Main Street, a second store was opened in 1971 at 8565 Main Street in Clarence and continues to serve the Buffalo suburbs. Our custom picture framing department was greatly expanded at this time and remains an important part of our business. In 1984, we opened our third store, on East Avenue in Rochester. After 10 years, this store was moved to its current location at 937 Jefferson Road in Rochester's busy southern suburb of Henrietta. Together, our three stores and customer service center make us the largest art material retailer between New York City and Chicago. We also serve customers nationally through our online store. In-store, telephone and online customers all know they can rely on the advice of our representatives who have extensive backgrounds in the arts and art products.

One of our special interests is support of art education programs, especially activities that are directed towards youth and beginning artists. We conduct in-store art classes and workshops throughout the year at all of our stores. During the summer, we offer camp programs that help develop talent and provide creative outlets for children between the ages of 5 and 12. All 3 stores also host popular birthday parties that meet parent's needs to entertain their children's friends in a meaningful way. Local and national art contest information is often available in our stores. We are pleased to be able to provide gift certificate awards for a number of local schools and private organizations that sponsor art competitions. And we work closely with art educators to ensure students have needed supplies at affordable prices. Many educators look to our staff for up-to-date information on techniques and product usage as well as information about innovative new products.
